Flash & the Internet

This section focuses on the delivery of the Flash product.  Review some of the Flash tasks that you built and consider how the movie was prepared for your webpage.  You need to be focusing on the difference between a .fla file and a .swf file.

Consider the following points:

bulletHow do Internet users see Flash animation
bulletWhat applications do they need to have?
bulletWhat is the cost, where can they get the application from?

Finally, can everyone download a Flash animation or indeed see the file.  What stops Internet users seeing this?  Consider you home PC situation, have you always been able to see Flash animation, if not, why not.

Try the Help menu of Flash to find out more.  You could also try the site http://www.macromedia.com/software/ which may assist you, although you will need to look at FlashMX.

Use this source to prepare a report of 100-150 words on Flash and the Internet.
