Co-Curricular Activities

Blackfriars has a proud co-curricular tradition and offers an extensive range of sports and activities for students.

On campus, Blackfriars has a well-equipped, modern gymnasium, which is the focus for many sporting activities and a full-size soccer pitch.

Blackfriars is fortunate to be located a few minutes walk from the northern Adelaide parklands. Along Fitzroy Terrace lies Denise Norton Park / Pardipardinyilla (Park 2) and Yam Daisy Park / Kantarilla (Park 3) where our tennis courts, football, cricket and soccer grounds are located.

In the centre of this precinct stands the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, which is used by the school for competition and leisure activities.

A number of school teams also use the Propsect Oval precinct and Charles Cane Reserve (Churchill Road) for a variety of sporting activities.

Blackfriars is a member of the Sports Association for Adelaide Schools (SAAS) and participates against other independent schools in organised competition
