  • Complete the APPLICATION FORM (in English) or the APPLICATION FORM (in Chinese), then fax the form with your latest school report (translated into English), and a Letter showing the level of English achieved to Blackfriars on 61 08 8269 6306.

  • English proficiency will be assessed by the SA Adelaide Language Centre and applicants will need to register a score of 4 to enter junior secondary (Year 8 & 9), a score of 5 to enter Year 10, or a score of 6 to enter senior secondary (Year 11 & 12).  Applicants who do not meet the required English proficiency score will need to successfully complete a bridging course in English at the SA Adelaide Language Centre.

  • If your results are acceptable, the School will fax/mail you a LETTER OF OFFER which will outline the course details, list all fees involved (including enrolment fee, transport from the airport, language course (if required), tuition fee, Homestay bond and fees for two weeks Homestay accommodation. If the applicant is under 18 years of age, a guardianship letter signed by our Principal will be included.

  • To formalise the enrolment, you or your parents/guardian will need to lodge the required fees with Blackfriars Priory School. Bank details will be included on the Letter of Offer.

  • When monies have been received, Blackfriars Priory School will then send you a RECEIPT and the Australian Government CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT FORM FOR OVERSEAS STUDENTS which are needed to apply for a Visa.

  • You and your parents/guardian will need to take or send the CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT FORM, RECEIPT and LETTER OF OFFER (including the guardianship letter) to the Australian Embassy in your capital city.

  • You will be required to complete documentation for your Visa. The Australian Embassy will begin Visa issue procedures after they have received all documentation from you. The Australian Embassy may ask you to come in for an interview.

  • Once you have obtained your visa, and all documentation is complete, you are to notify Blackfriars Priory School of the date of your arrival.

 

  • In general terms, there are two start dates for those wishing to commence in Years 11 and 12 at Blackfriars Priory School. These dates are at the beginning of the Year (30 Jan 2008) and also at the beginning of Semester 2 (16 June 2008) after successfully completing a minimum of 20 weeks at the English Bridging Course (if required).

  • If the level of English required to enter Year 11 or 12 has not been attained, the student may need to commence at a lower year level at Blackfriars Priory School and their contract may need to be re-negotiated.
