homestay program

The Homestay Program is an integral part of the caring support provided for International students attending Blackfriars. Through a partnership agreement with St Aloysius College and the SA Adelaide Language Centre, Blackfriars has access to over 150 Homestay families.

Homestay families are carefully selected to ensure that they can provide a quality, caring environment for International students during their stay in Adelaide. Homestay fees include full board, breakfast, provision for lunch, evening meal and clothes washing.

The Homestay Program allows students to be fully immersed in the culture of an Australian family, whilst providing an opportunity to establish positive and rewarding relationships. Students are actively encouraged to involve themselves in family life, which will further assist their English language development.
