Blackfriars Middle School caters to the intricate needs of boys in this transitional period of life.
Our contemporary and integrated curriculum for Years 7 to 9 is based on the Australian Curriculum. Within this, our teachers identify the unique needs of each student and develop individually tailored programs that enrich and extend students’ development particularly as it relates to literacy and numeracy. A level of self-direction is supported during the Middle Years encouraging students to inquire and investigate in order to acquire knowledge and strive for personal success.
The search for identity and meaning is prominent during the middle years of a boy’s schooling. The Pastoral Care System as well as the Religious Education, Co-curricular and Camp Programs amongst other co-curricular opportunities provides each boy with the knowledge, skills and personal development they need to shape their way into their future.
