Homestay

The Blackfriars Homestay Program immerses international students in Australian culture by placing them with a carefully matched local family.

With their homestay family, students experience Australian family life and hospitality while receiving the support you expect from home in a safe and encouraging environment. Students are actively encouraged to involve themselves in family life, which assists their English language development and provides opportunities to establish positive and rewarding relationships.

Homestay families are an integral part of an International student’s Blackfriars community and are carefully selected by our Overseas Student Program Officer to ensure they provide a quality, caring environment for boys during their stay in Adelaide. While the Blackfriars Principal has ultimate responsibility for all students, our Overseas Student Program Officer meets regularly with international students to monitor their academic progress, homestay arrangements and personal development.

Homestay fees include full board, breakfast, provision for lunch, evening meal and laundry.
