All information is correct at the time of publishing, but the school reserves the right to make amendments at any time necessary.

ENROLMENT

A non-refundable enrolment fee of $30 is required to be paid with each enrolment application.  An acceptance fee of $200 is payable when a student is formally accepted for enrolment at Blackfriars.  This is then credited to the first fee account.

Tuition Fees

The fee account is received early in Term 1 and will show the total annual tuition fee for 2008. Other relevant fees will also be included on this, and on other fee statements later in the year.

  Primary    
  Reception, Year 1 & 2 $2,920 per annum  
  Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 $4,060 per annum  
  Secondary    
  Year 7 $4,600 per annum  
  Years 8 & 9 $4,600 per annum  
  Year 10, 11 & 12 $4,880 per annum

  • A family discount of 10% is applied for the second child attending Blackfriars, 25% for the third and 100% for the fourth child.

  • A discount applies for children attending other Catholic schools.  Contact the School Office for further details.

  • A discount of 3.5% will apply if the total tuition fee is paid by 1 March 2007

  • Fees can be paid by three equal instalments during the year. The instalment dates are:

      1 March 1 June 1 September

     

    The Department of Education and Children's Services (DECS) provides financial assistance towards the cost of educational expenses for full-time students of low income families through the School Card Scheme.  Further information can be obtained from the School Office or DECS.

    WITHDRAWAL OF STUDENT

    In ordinary circumstances, at least one term's notice is required of your intention to withdraw a student from the school. The school can make charge where insufficient notice is given. Emergency circumstances will be taken into account.

      Year 7 Camp $165 (2007)  
      Year 7 Aquatics $30 (2007)  
      Year 7, 8 & 9 Activities $10 (2007)  
      Year 8 - Kangaroo Island Camp $250 (2007)  
      Year 8 - Retreat Approx $20 (2007)  
      Year 9 - Retreat Approx $20 (2007)  
      Year 10 - Retreat Approx $20 (2007)  
      Year 10 - Activities $160 (2007)  
      Year 11 - Retreat $105 (2007)  
      Year 12 - Study Skills Course $20  
      Year 12 - Retreat $135 (2007)  

     

    OUTDOOR EDUCATION

    The following fee is charged for Outdoor Education which is a compulsory subject for Year 9 and an elective for Year 10 and Year 12.

      Year 9 (in conjunction with retreat) $85 (2007)  
      Year 10 $90 (2007)  
      Year 12 $360 (2007)  

     

    Art/Design/Technology

    The following fee is charged for Art/Design/Technology which is a compulsory subject for Year 8 & 9. It is an elective choice for Years 10, 11 & 12.

      Year 8 & 9 $120 (2007)
     
     
      Year 10,11 and 12 $30 - $150 (2007)
     depending on chosen elective
     

     

    Music

    The following fee is charged for Music, which is a compulsory subject for Years R-7 and an elective for Years 8 -12.  The fee is charged on the fee account in Term 2.

      Year 7 $35 per year (2007)  
      Year 8 - 12 $65 per year (2007)  

     

    Instrument hire is $210 per annum.

    Private Music Tuition

    Private music tuition is charged by the tutor direct to the student and is separate from other fees.
